Recipe:
I used Snapseed, Pixlr, & Faded to shoot and edit my pictures. I tried to shoot pictures of objects and locations with primary colors (red, yellow, & blue). I mostly edited the contrast, brightness & exposure in my shots. For picture #8, I increased the contrast and vibrance in order for the red umbrella to really stand out.
Hi Patty!
ReplyDeleteform - Glad to know you have both horizontal and vertical photographs and they are organized well.
content - Your contents are colorful from a little to very! Picture #14 is very impressive. Pieces are colorful good subject! Plus every piece is here and there that is pretty balanced at the same time.
impact - You are very good at giving me a big impact by making colors stand alone. Picture #3 and #13 are examples. About your self-portrait #2, you made an effort to wear colorful nail polish! That and the wall art gave me a big impact, too. I wish I could see color differences more between mirror (white part) and birds hanging on it.
I like picture #14. the unbalanced pieces are balanced after all!
Hi!
ReplyDeleteI think you've constructed your photos well for the most part. You just need to make sure that everything in the frame is well balanced, such as any lines of door frames, balconies, etc. lining up with the frame of the photo (our professor commented on me not doing this, so I guess it's on my radar).
I'm actually really curious about where you are, and what's happening in all of these photos. You give a really nice sense of passion through color. Photo #4 looks like it was taken in some sort of thrift store, and it reminds me of being a kid - not just because of the vending machines, but because of the colors. I feel like everything we ever came in contact with as a toddler was one of the primary colors.
Conceptually, I think you notice life's simple pops of color everywhere you turn.
My favorite photo is SP #2, because I think it's not the easiest to show passion through color in a self portrait, and you've managed to do this using the coffee shop you're in. It's also interesting that you're eyes and nails even add to the colors in this photo.
Hi Patty. Your construction was great. Every photo is relatively the same size, and they're all centered and spaced evenly. Your construction was really good as well. Some photos were harder to read than others. For example, I'm not entirely sure what #5 is. Your conception is great. Some photos are of youthful things, as if taken though the eye of child. Other photos were of more "adult" objects/places. I really like how your photos seem to be all at different locations. My favorite is number 8, it looks like it could be an album cover or on an advertisement.
ReplyDeleteHello Patty,
ReplyDeleteThe construction was great, the pictures were centered, numbered, and spaced nicely.
Your communication was good, it looks like you took pictures of things you saw everyday and caught your attention or you thought were interesting.
Your conception was great. You tried to find really bright objects to really bring out the color/passion of your photos.
My favorite photo is #8. The red umbrella just sticks out so much on the snow.
Your construction was good, very easy to follow and well organized! As far as your pictures, I really enjoyed them! I can relate to your photos because it seems like you are drawn to pops of color in everyday life. I really like the bright colors that stand out in your pictures and can see that's where your inspiration came from. I really like picture number 1. I like how the color is in the background and how the limbs of the tree drawn the viewer toward the yellow. I also like the second self portrait. The placement of you in the corner and the color in the background really make the picture interesting!
ReplyDeleteHi Patty,
ReplyDeleteYour construction was as it should be, with numbers and pictures centered. You set out to take objects with vibrant colors and accomplished that. You took the time to focus on what was essential to the object in your picture. Not two pictures were alike. The wall and the ground are things we see everyday, but you chose the ones that had a splash of color. You communicated that searching for the right picture is important to you. My favorite picture is self-portrait 2 with the colorful wall in the distance.
Hey Patty! You took some really nice pictures this week. Your Construction was great. Your pictures were centered, evenly spaced, numbered, and easy to follow. For Communication, I like your outdoor pictures. I felt like I was following you throughout your day. Finally, your Conception was well done. I liked the variety of distances and angles in your photos. I like that your apps filters did not distract from your pictures. I also like that you had a variety of color (some very colorful and others with a pop of color). It made it interesting to look through your blog. My vote for Picture of the Week is #13. I like the bright green grass with the pop of blue in the bike. I can also see a pop of red from the cross on the church. It draws my eye and makes me look around the pictures. Great job this week!
ReplyDeleteHi Patty,
ReplyDeleteYour photos this week were well constructed, and you seemed to be really comfortable communicating how various colors relate with one another in a way that really draws the eye. was great, the pictures were centered, numbered, and spaced nicely
Conceptually, these were great; you found bright and vidid colors and really amplified they ways in which they interacted with and stood out amongst their surroundings.
My favorite photo is #6. The streaks on the windshield juxtapose really nicely with the fluorescent stickers.
