For color and passion, I took photos at all times of the day displaying the passion and adventure of life. Even the smallest tasks, are things we are passionate about.
Howdy. Good photos. I like the day in the life vibe I get while following each picture from start to finish. I like the natural feel to them too. You didn't crank the colors up to high or make them a weird shade of color. They come off very natural and real. My favorite photo is #4. The composition and the subject matter is presented nicely here. Is that the Bell Tower?
ReplyDeleteHi!
ReplyDeleteI think the construction of your photos show your perspective on life, but a majority of them are shot straight on, so it would be interesting to see more of the way you view things - maybe by getting more up-close-and-personal.
Your photos communicate that you're always on-the-go, and appreciate time at home for that fact, which I can totally relate to. Photo #1 is my exact view every time I'm home - in bed, relaxing because I feel like I deserve it after a long day.
Conceptually, I think you're trying to show passion through color in life's little moments - walking to class, hanging out at home, taking a run, but no photo really leaves me guessing except #4. Instead of taking a picture of scenes, maybe you can try shooting one part of a scene that stands out to you the most, and see how, or if it resonates with your viewers in the same way. That way, you might start to see a trend in what you're passionate about.
Overall, my favorite photo is #4 because it leaves me guessing and shows a really nice sense of perspective. The purple hues also contrast well with the white wall, and it gives off a really serene feeling.
Hi Allison. Your construction is good. Everything is numbered and centered, however your blog would look better if the photos were larger. Your communication is awesome. I like how each photo seems to be in a different part of the city. These photos tell me that you're very busy and active, but also organized as well. Your conception is great as well. The photos seem to tell a story of what your everyday life is. I like how they start in your bedroom and bathroom, as if we're waking up and getting ready for the day with you. Then the next photos makes it feel like we're walking to class with you. My favorite photo is number 13 because I love the way you titled the camera, making the viewer look at the subway tracks from a new angle.
ReplyDeleteHello Allison,
ReplyDeleteThe construction was good. The photos are spaced, centered, and numbered. I like that you tried to be different on your numbering style.
Your communication was good, you took photos of what you saw walking around or jogging/running (based on #7.) You really like the city and building architecture.
Your conception was great. All the photos took place outside or of something interesting that you saw during your normal day except 3 of them. It's a nice theme.
My favorite photo is #6. The bright yellow of the chairs really sticks out, especially during the cold months where the sun isn't out and it's gloomy.
Hey! I like the construction of your photos! I like how the numbers are centered and the design gives it a unique feel. I definitely can feel the message that you were trying to send through your photos this week. I enjoy how your photos told a story and showed the adventure of everyday life. I also like the pops of color displayed in your photos. I also like to find bright colors that stand out to me in order to show passion. Over all you photos this week are great! My favorite is number 6. I like the different colors that are involved because they let viewers notice different objects in the picture.
ReplyDeleteHey Allison! You took some nice pictures this week. Your Construction was good. Your photos are centered, evenly spaced, and numbered. But I wish the pictures were larger. The Communication was also good. It felt like I was following you throughout your day. We started in your place, went through the city, and then ended back at your place. It was like a story come full-circle. As far as Conception, it was done well. I like the pops of color in your pictures. It really draws my eye. I also like the variety of angles. Finally, my vote for Picture of the Week is #6. I love the pop of yellow in the foreground. And then the pop of red on the flags draws my eye upward and around the picture. Good job this week!
ReplyDeleteHi Allison! For your construction, all of your pictures were numbered, centered, and evenly spaced. However, I wish they were larger to make it easier to see all of the details in your pictures. For your communication, all of your pictures were easy to read, except for picture 4. It looks like there’s several works of art in the picture, but I’m really curious about the angle that you took them in and what the works of art are actually of! Picture 13 resonates with me because it reminds me of my everyday to commute to campus. For the conception of your pictures, it looks like you took pictures of your everyday surroundings in the city, as well as objects in your home surrounding. It seems like you started off in your home, explored the city, and then returned back to your home, which shows the audience what a typical day in your life looks like. My vote for POW is picture 7 because I like the way that the green part of your shirt makes the green part of your shorts pop out. It’s simple, yet important in your blog because it starts the beginning of your adventure outdoors. I think it would have been cool if you placed this picture right before the outdoor pictures (after picture 2) to show the audience that you’re about to go and explore the city!
ReplyDeleteHey Allison,
ReplyDeleteYour construction this week was great – everything was numbered, evenly spaced, and centered.
You communicated most of your photos in a really vivid and bright way, which I appreciate; my favorite was #6. That yellow was so bright and really drew my eyes in and kept me there. Conceptually, I think a lot of your photos could have been a bit more planned out; I'd like to see some more interesting subject matter – don't be afraid to look goofy and crouch down and take pictures of things from weird angles. I see you doing that with things in your apartment or indoors, but you'd be amazed what happens when you start doing that out in the open and really just playing with your phone. Keep up the good work!
Hi Allison,
ReplyDeleteJuding by your photos, I can tell you encounter a lot of interesting artwork on your day-to-day grind. But I must say, your most interesting photo is probably 10, which incorporates subjects in that kind of abstract/artworked environment. I can't really tell how much thought or effort you put into your other photos though, like the ones of your apartment and the tilted photo of the subway stop. I mean there are ways of making both of these places capture emotion, but I think you struggled with that a bit for this assignment. I'd suggest maybe approaching both of these places with different perspectives next time - framing totally makes all the difference.
