Notes
All photos were taken with my OnePlus One (Android) using the Snapdragon Camera. I took pictures of the things I'm passionate about (hockey, android, nature) and a few random items that I thought looked cool.

  1. Hey Kevin! You took some nice photos this week. I thought your Construction was good. Your pictures were centered, evenly spaced, and easy to follow. I wish they were larger though. For Communication, I liked your nature photos. I feel like you were able to capture nature’s natural color. I liked that you didn’t use apps to distract from the pictures themselves. Finally, I thought the Conception was well done. I like the variety of close-up and far-away pictures. I also like that some of your photos had just a pop of color; it made them interesting. My vote for Picture of the Week is # 14. Even though it is a muted red color, it is enough to attract my attention. I also like the use of the mirror in the picture. It makes it feel bigger. Good job!

  2. Hi Kevin! I like the muted tones in all of your photos. None of the colors are very vivid, or pop out too much. It goes well with the earthy vibe I am getting in this set of photos. You have good composition on all of your photos, except the car one. Get low and straight on if you're gonna take a side shot of a car like that. Otherwise good job. The best photo of the group is #11. It guides the eyes nicely and the lines of the sticks make them pop out more. Good job.

  3. Hi!

Your photos are really well centered, and there's a subject actually in the center of a lot of them, which immediately draws me in.

I can see you like exploring from every angle, especially in the outdoors. I love hiking, and photo #4 makes me feel like what's ahead is waiting for me because of how the stream leads my eye up along the photo.

Conceptually, I think just scrolling through your photos, anyone could see that you like the outdoors because of the natural tones of a lot of your shots. You should embrace that, rather than taking pictures of "other random items that you thought looked cool" - that takes away from what you're passionate about. Try finding little things that you can get up close to while you're exploring. Is there on little green plant trying to sprout among all the wet mud left from the snow, or is there something that's been left behind?

My favorite photo is #4 for the reasons I've said above. The concrete barrier and stream lead my eye through the photo and leave me wanting to know more about where it leads, or what comes next. The yellow paint on the barrier and green specs of grass along the stream also balance each other very well.

  4. Hi Kevin. Your construction is good. I like how some photos are taken in landscape and some in portrait. Everything is centered and spaced evenly. You communicate to your audience very well through these photos. I can tell that you play hockey and that you love the outdoors. There were no photos that I couldn't tell what they were, but they still weren't cliche. Your conception is great. These photos capture the essence of winter time, and show how pretty it can be. My favorite photo is number 8 because I love crystals.

  5. The construction of your pictures is great with the pictures being centered and numbered! I like the communication of your nature pictures as well. I could tell that you find inspiration in nature, and a sense of passion is conveyed! I also like the different perspectives and shooting dimensions that you used. My favorite picture is number 14! I like how there is more than one subject in the photo and it keeps the viewers eyes wandering. The way you captured the branches in the window and mirror really caught my eye. Well done!

  6. Kevin,

I really liked your photos this week. Your construction was good as your blog was easy to read down and all the photos were centered! Your communication was good, I feel like you were trying to communicate that you love the outdoors and cold weather seeing as your play hockey! The content fit that very well and because of this my favorite photo for the week was photo number 15!

  7. Hi Kevin,
As expected, you constructed everything perfectly – it was all numbered, evenly spaced, and centered.
You communicated a lot of these photos in interesting ways, with a variety of vantage points and colors. Conceptually, I see you really like the ways in which light and objects interact with smooth surfaces – ice, water, and glass. My favorite was #14 – you really got that clear and brought out the reflection in that window to a staggeringly crisp degree.

  8. Hi Kevin,

My favorite photos are 14, and 6. 6 might have incorporated an entirely different mood if you'd put some kind of color filter on it - that might be something to try on your own. I wish that more of your photos had specific subjects, which would have given it more emotion overall.
