I liked the photos you posted this week. For construction, everything was the same throughout which was great and made for easy viewing. Your photos could have been bigger though. For communication what I picked up on was that you lived a busy and fast paced life but like to take time to reminisce. For construction, I thought your blog could include a few more photos but enjoyed how your photos drew your eye in on each one.
Mary, Your photos were very organized and presented well! I really enjoyed the unique content of your photos this week. Your subjects were different which helped to give off the vintage feel. However, I didn't really get the sense of memory through your photos. I wasn't able to really grasp the story you were trying to tell. Maybe if you gave a little description about what you were trying to portray it would have been easier to pick up on. However, your photos were very enjoyable to look at this week!
You have a variety of visual organization when it comes to the construction of your photos, which I like. It's never interesting looking at someone's photos who shoots the same exact way every time. I especially like #2 - there is a lot going on, but the picture is balanced.
As for communication, I'm not really getting the "vintage" aspect of your photos, so I'd really like to see how you can edit these more to resonate with your audience, and perhaps make them feel like they're in another time.
When looking at the conception of your photos, it seems like you were going for a-day-in-the life, by showing things you pass by, people you interact with, and places you go.
My favorite picture is #10. I like that you made a black and white photo still look bright, and how to figure leaves a shadow on the picture frame. It makes me wonder if this toy was part of your life when you were younger, or if it's just part of the frame.
All your photos from the past few weeks are well organized and constructed. That said, I don't really detect any clear or cohesive message or narrative, and I don't think a fair portion of them relate to the topic "vintage/memory." The one that definitely struck me as MOST reminiscent of the topic was #10, and that was my favorite – I appreciate that you layered one photo within another, behind a rather menacing object. There's something kind of eerie that's established, and it really resonates with me.
Your construction was good. All the photo are evenly spaced and centered and they are all the same size. However, you did not have enough photos.
Your communication was good. Some photos are more obvious than others, and you could work on giving them a sense of mystery. Photo 14 resonates with me because I love dogs.
Your conception was good. These photos look like things you experience in your everyday life.
My favorite photo is number 10. It feels the most vintage to me because it's of an old photograph
Hey Mary! You took some nice photos this week. Your Construction was great. Your pictures were centered, evenly spaced, and numbered. But I couldn’t click on them to enlarge the picture. Your Communication was good. Your lighting and coloring helped create a vintage feel. Some of your pictures look too modern though. I think you could have used more filters and really go for the vintage theme. Finally, your Conception was good. You included a variety of distances, colors, and angles. I wish you included some horizontal photos though. It would have created more interest in your blog. My vote for Picture of the Week is #8. I like the angle and how the sun is just peeking out. The cracking paint on the side helped make the picture appear older, as well. I also like the contrast of the dark foreground with the light sky. Good job this week!
form - They are well-organized and centered. I wanted to see more horizontal photographs since you have only vertical. I wanted to see your note, too, about what app you use for taking and editing those pictures.
content - You did not forget about mystery! Picture#8 and #12 are the best examples. What the heck are they!? Also colorful on picture#5 (no you won't forget the last topic!) How did you express vintage atmosphere in the colorful object?
impact - Yes from your pictures I mostly can feel vintage on its color. However I would like to see more memory of yours. The mysterious picture#10 could be your memory. Is she when you were young, your family member, or somebody else?
I like picture#6. The classic tag and vintage atmosphere!
