  1. The bike photo is the most mysterious of the group. It took a second for me to get that it was a bike. A little more contrast would have made it pop out more from the rest of the picture. It kind of blends in, but that lends to the mysteriousness of the object.

  2. Hey Annie,
The construction was great, evenly spaced and centered. I like how that you included how you each photo was taken under each one.
Your communication was good. I can see what each photo is of, I like the close-up on your cat's ear.
Your conception was good. Almost all your photos are some sort of close-up and it really went with the mystery theme.
My favorite photo is #10. I like cats and the fact that it wasn't just a "normal" cat photo.

  3. Hi Annie! The construction of your pictures was great. They’re all centered, numbered, and evenly spaced. I also like that you added a little caption underneath each picture about what app and filters you used. Your communication could be improved. I could tell what most of your pictures are, but some of them made me stop and look at them more carefully, specifically #3, which is why I’m voting it picture of the week. It reminds me of the movie ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’ because the main character’s house was organized chaos. This picture has several details in it from the board and mysterious object in front of it to the Christmas lights and the unidentifiable flowers (lavender?). Although it doesn’t seem like those objects belong together, it really works! For the conception, I like that most of your pictures consisted of everyday objects that you see and use because it allowed me to see them in a new light.

  4. Hey Annie! I really like the construction of the post as each picture is in the center and clearly labeled. I liked your communication and feel like I learned a lot about your interests through your pictures. For conception, I felt frustration behind picture #2 as it was at a computer with the ESC key in the center. My favorite for the week is photo #3, because it drew me and my eye went all around the picture, trying to figure out what was behind the door or wardrobe.

  5. Hey!

Most of your photos are well organized in terms of construction, but I think I'd like to see some of your subjects from different angles. I see you like getting up close and personal, but what if you shot from above, or from down below, giving a new perspective. Even though animals are part of the photo cliches, I think photo #10 of your cat's ear can be an exception because who says it's actually a cat then? It's obviously the ear of an animal, but we don't know for sure that it's a cat.

In terms of communication - these pictures definitely show who you are, and what you enjoy in life, so I like that I can see your personality shining through! The picture of the egg in photo #8 is my life. I love eggs, and your picture reminds me of waking up really early and still dedicating time to making them.

Your photos seem very a-day-in-the life in terms of conception, but I'd like to get more of a feel for what you're interested in and what specifically is involved in your everyday life if those are the kind of photos you're interested in shooting.

My favorite photo is #11. I like how the flames of the candle are centered, and how well you were actually able to capture the flames so clearly (which can sometimes be hard to do on a smartphone camera). It leaves a sense of mystery in the way that I wonder where the candle is, why it's being lit, and what time of day it is.

  6. I like how you put descriptions under each picture! I also like how you took a lot of your pictures close up, I also like to do that! I feel like it really captures the detail in the subjects. I would have like if some of your pictures gave off more a sense of mystery. I like to take pictures of everyday things and try to spin it in an odd way, but I feel like some of yours were a little too ordinary. My favorite is number 7 because it gives me the best sense of mystery and makes me take a second look.

  7. Hi Annie,

As I scrolled through your post, I noticed you getting more and more creative and adventurous with your camera angles and perspectives. The first few photos seemed a bit generic and not as inventive as I'd hoped, but I love cats and coffee, so I didn't really mind. My favorite was probably the close-up of the candle/flame; it had a good sense of mood to it that had me transfixed.
