I took all of the photos with my iPhone 6 and edited them with the iPhone picture editor and SnapSeed. The new pictures are numbers 2, 5, 8, 11, 15, 18, 20, 23, 25.
I tried to organize my pictures sort of as a timeline through life. It starts with photos that depict the past, then goes to photos which draw eyes inside and make the viewer want to continue on the journey. Next it goes to the category of color, which I feel is the first thing that humans start to notice in the world. Then it goes to nature, not just on the surface but diving deeper into the mysteries of it. Lastly it goes to pictures that ask questions or ignite uncertainty in what the future holds.
I love all your photos and can tell you learned a lot through the journey of this class. My favorite photo is 14 or 20. Both so elegant and say so much. Great work Kat!
ReplyDeleteHey Kat,
ReplyDeleteI like your chapters, but I wish the photo sizes were a little more consistent. Some are really tiny while others are large. Maybe you could have used the size differences to your advantage somehow? My favorite photo is #19. I love fire pictures, obviously, since I had a fire picture in every topic this semester except the Final Portfolio.
Hi Kat, congratulations on a semester well done! Your final portfolio is incredible! I especially love how clear and in-focus all your photos are. It doesn't even look like you used a smartphone to take them, that's awesome! Photo of the year for me is number 11 because I love animals, and peacocks are so cool looking.
ReplyDeleteHi Kat,
ReplyDeleteI like the way you've described the order of your photos. You have a lot of different subjects and settings in your photos which keep your viewers interested. #18 reminds me of home because there are two towers , like the ones in the background, that I can see from my kitchen window. Photo of the year for me is #20. This is a really interesting shot - it's like nature meets structure, and there are a lot of colors and textures going on, but they work well together. Great job this semester!
Hi Kat! You did awesome job this semester! I enjoyed looking through your final blog. I really liked the rawness of some of your photos, especially the nature pictures. I also liked that you provided a variety of subjects, as well as, distances and angles. I thought your titles helped create a story and divided your pictures nicely. I wish you kept the size of your pictures consistent though. You had some great pictures but my favorite would have to be Picture #20 from the Chapter “There’s Wonder In Nature”. I love how close you got to the brick. The red brick also really pops against the green ivy. Really great job!
ReplyDeleteHi Kat! Awesome pictures this semester! For your construction, all of your pictures are centered and labeled, but I just wish that they were a little bigger. For your communication, you had a lot of mysterious pictures! They were easy to read, but I have no clue where you are in these pictures. Picture #15 reminds me of my family vacations. For the conception, it looks like you like to visit a lot of new places and explore! My vote for picture of the year is picture #8 because it left me wondering where that trail leads to!
ReplyDeleteHi Kat! You've somehow shot a wide variety of photos from different places and managed to keep the same vibe for all of them. Most of your photos have that old crusty look to them. Your composition is really good. Most of your pictures are dark and it works for the subject matter. Picture of the year is number 22 for me. It looks like just another Pennsylvania suburb and that's home to me. Good job Kat!
ReplyDeleteHi Kat,
ReplyDeleteYour pictures have been intriguing this year. The Color of Life is my favorite section in your final portfolio. I love the brightness and variety of the peppers in #14. Something as ordinary as peppers made a beautiful picture.
Hi Kat! I like your colorful photographs very much, especially #2, #8, #12, #14, #15, #20, and #23. You definitely chose great objects and edited them well. I wish, however, you could upload bigger-sized vertical photographs so I could have seen each of them in detail and enjoyed those colors. The best photo is #15. Very bright and colorful. Personally I love #11. Very cute peacock!
