  1. Great job this semester! I really enjoyed the subjects of your photos this semester and in this final portfolio. You offer a wide variety of perspectives and subjects that make your portfolio interesting. I also like how you pulled everything together and made it into a cohesive story. My favorite is photo #6 in the "People watching" group. I like how it is a picture you took "people watching" but the people in the picture are also people watching. Great job!

  2. Hi Mary,
I like your final portfolio, even though your photos previews are small it goes well because the chapter titles aren't large. It just flows. My favorite photo is #5 of New Relationship. I can't tell what the photo is of, but it looks really dark and cool.

  3. Hi Mary, Congratulations a great semester! I love your portfolio. It's organized very well and I like how you color coded the photos. Photo of the year for me would have to be number 2 in the people watching category. It's very mysterious, but it appears you are at a concert. I love this because I go to concerts a lot!

  4. Hi Mary,

I've looked forward to your photos each week this semester. You have such a variety of subjects, aren't afraid to go out of your element, like photographing other people. I think a lot of our classes photos are objective, so I like that you bring people into your pictures a lot. Your titles are really personal, too, which almost makes, me, and your audience feel like we know you in a way. Photo of the year is #3 under People Watching. I've always been fascinated with this one. I think it' because the angle you're coming from, and the irony. This woman looks kind of sad for someone holding balloons. Overall, great job this semester!

  5. Hey Mary! Good job this semester! I enjoyed looking through your final blog. I definitely felt like you were taking me on a journey. Your titles helped add to your story telling as well. I appreciate you providing multiple subjects, as well as, distances and angles. It made looking through your blog more interesting. My favorite picture of the year would have to go to Picture #1 from the chapter “New Relationship”. Even though it is simple, I still find a sense of mystery. Where is this person going? I think is connects to the title, as well. I also like the contrast of the dark clothes against the white snow. Great job!

  6. Hi Mary! I like your chapter titles. It's nice that everything is new for you. Besides from that the composition in most of your photos is very good. Everything is framed up nicely and is a pleasure for the eye. You took your time to take the photos and it shows. I really like the soft contrast on your photos too. It gives the pictures a chill or airy vibe. My choice for picture of the year is number 3 in people watching. The colors and the three people from behind are striking. It makes me miss going to concerts. Great job!

  7. Congratulations Mary on your postings this semester. I liked the Texture section in your final portfolio the best. Each picture is an unique example. It was easy to pick up that pattern.
You caught the wonder of exploring a new place with the picture you took of the little girl in LIfe in a New Neighborhood, #5. That is my favorite photo.

  8. Hi Mary! I could see your daily life from this portfolio. I just wish I could see bigger size of every photograph. If "new relationship" means it.....congrats! :D "Texure" has very enjoyable colorful photographs. You definitely chose the great objects for the chapter. The best picture is #5 from "Life In A New Neighborhood." That shows their hard work under the big beautiful blue sky with clouds. It is colorful, but their work clothes are colorful, too!
