I took all of my pictures on my iPhone 6 and edited them using the Snapseed app because that was by far my favorite app that I've used all semester. I used the vintage + grainy filters on a lot of my new pictures because it's my favorite combination of filters. It was difficult at first to figure out how to group my pictures, but once I looked through all of my previous blog posts together, the chapter titles came more easily to me!
Hi Patty,
ReplyDeleteI like that each chapter had five photos, I like when things are consistent and equal like that. My favorite photo is #1 from Chapter 2. I take the train to Temple everyday so I see those things (I have no idea what to call them) all the time and it just reminds me of my life.
Patty,
ReplyDeleteYou have a really great portfolio! I think if you feel like you know someone after looking at their photos, it's definitely a good thing. A lot of your photos lock in on one subject, or are shot from up-close, which I like when looking at and taking photos. The way you've edited your pictures makes them all look vintage in their own way, so you're viewers get a sense of what you're interested in in that way, also. Photo of the year for me is #1 in chapter 5. It's a really interesting photo, that has good contrast, yet is very soft and vintage-looking at the same time, and it makes me wonder where the car to those seats is. Great job this semester!
Hi Patty, congratulations on a great semester. I really enjoyed looking at your final portfolio. The titles of your chapters were very unique and I think each photo fit very well into it's chapter. My favorite photo is number three under "forsaken and forgotten" because I love how the colors table and car pop out of the dull colors of dead grass and plants.
ReplyDeleteHi Patty! I thought you did a great job this semester! I really enjoyed looking through your final portfolio. Your photos were simple but powerful at the same time. You grouped your pictures together very well. You also gave the chapters clever names that described the photos accurately. It was hard to choose but my favorite picture of the year would have to be Picture # 1 from Chapter 1. It’s a great opening photo to your portfolio. It is really striking and impactful. It also connects with the chapter’s title “No Place like Home” because it reminds me of the movie “Wizard of Oz”. Great job!
ReplyDeleteHi Patty! I really liked your work this semester, and this set of photos is an exemplary case to show off your skills. The creativity behind some of the photos is great and the thought you put behind each shot awesome. Each photo is pleasing to the eye. Your composition and editing is great in this set. My choice of picture of the year goes to #1 in Close up and Personal. It's a very magazine-esque shot. It looks like it could serve well for a light add. Good work!
ReplyDeleteHi Patty,
ReplyDeleteMy favorite picture is #1 in No Place Like Home. I can imagine myself walking down that long road and back to a life I have missed. The coloring is awesome and adds to the longing to return. It is indicative of the time you put into your work this semester. Congratulations!
Hi Patty, you are very good at making vintage pictures with color. Though you explain which filters you used, I still would like to learn how you did that because I think you did some adjustment of color, brightness, etc. I like pic#1 from chapter 4 because you really show "Out of Sight, Out of Mind." Very effective to use the wall sticker or paint behind!
