Great job this semester! I really like how most of your pictures are outside or of nature. I find inspiration in nature as well, and feel that there is such wonder and mystery in it. For your final portfolio I like how you have several different chapters with varying number of photos in each. It broke up the pictures nicely and gave me a feel for what inspires you on the day to day. My favorite is #18! I think I also voted for this photo previously, but I just love how the trees frame the sun and the lighting. Awesome work!
ReplyDeleteHi Kevin, congratulations on a great semester! I really enjoyed your final portfolio. I like how a majority of your pictures are outside. I love nature and the outdoors so these photos really spoke to me. Photo of the year for me is number 22 because I love cats. My cat is black and white just like yours!
ReplyDeleteHi Kevin,
ReplyDeleteWhenever I come to your blog I always expect to see the outdoors, and you did not disappoint with showing how much you enjoy them through your portfolio. I like that you have A TON of pictures outside, but not one of them is the same - good job on mixing it up and shooting from different angles. Photo of the year for me is #5. I like that because it's winter, nature looks gritty, so that cement barrier fits right it. I also like that the stream and that barrier lead the viewer's eyes through the photo. Great job this semester!
Hey Kevin! You did a great job this semester! I really liked looking through your final portfolio. Your titles explained the subject matter very well. Your photos reminded me a lot of my hometown, especially the nature pictures. I also like that you provided a variety of angles, distances, and subjects. It made it more interesting to look through your blog. I really liked the candid pictures of your friends too. It was nice to see into your real life. There were a lot of good pictures but my favorite would have to be Picture #18 from Chapter 5. It is a really simple but beautiful picture. I love how the real sun peeking through the trees mirrors the sun on the wind chime. Great job!
ReplyDeleteHi Kevin! For your construction, all of your pictures are centered and evenly spaced. You also have a good variety of horizontal and vertical pictures. However, they’re a little small and hard to see clearly. For your communication, your pictures could be read really well. I can see the motivation behind each one. Picture #10 in chapter 3 really resonated with me because it reminded me of this motel I used to stay in every summer in Wildwood, NJ for a soccer tournament. For your conception, I love that you consistently took pictures of things you’re interested in and that surround you. It allowed me to really get to know you better! My vote for picture of the year is picture #23 in chapter 6. It’s such an awesome action picture that has so many elements in it that makes me continuously go from one to the other. Great job this semester!
ReplyDeleteHey Kevin! I really like the titles for your final. Each chapter has a unique feel to them, almost like a changing of the season. It's cool to follow the progression of each picture and chapter. Your composition is really nice in all of your photos. It's not hard to tell what's going on but at the same time there's always a clear line that my eye follows when looking at your picture. Picture of the year is #17. That's a quality, movie poster type shot. The perspective on the rocks leading out into the water and ending right at the horizon line is great. It almost flattens the rocks but at the same time retains enough depth to give space to the picture. Really nice shot there.
ReplyDeleteHi Kevin,
ReplyDeleteI liked the names of your chapters. They're a really good description of the pictures that follow. My favorite group of pictures is Everything Will Rust and Decay. They remind us how nothing stays the same and that time and circumstance happens to us all. Out of that group, the rusty car says it best. You shared some great pictures with us this semester. I will remember the size of your pictures in your final portfolio. Even though they were small, they still conveyed the message. If I had kept mine smaller, maybe some of them would not have been so blurry.
Hi Kevin! I enjoyed a lot of your pictures taken outside. Nature is amazing and beautiful. Each scenery is impressive, and you are good at editing them because I feel those colors and vibes. I wish I could see bigger pictures to enjoy more in detail, though. My favorite one is #7. Colorful, some memory and pretty mysterious at the same time.
