  1. Great job this semester! I really enjoy your use of lighting and contrast in your photos. Many of your photos ignite question and make the viewer take a second look which is intriguing. I like how you organized this final portfolio and I felt that each picture went together nicely. My favorite is #3 in fluid/fractured! I love the use of shadows, lighting and colors! Great work!

  2. Hey Courtney,
I like your final portfolio, but I found the chapter titles to be buried in the photos, I didn't even notice them the first time through. Otherwise I liked your final portfolio. My favorite photo is #4 of Fluid/Fractured. It just looks awesome and has lots of bright color to it.

  3. Hi Courtney, congratulations on a great semester! I really like your final portfolio. I like how a lot of the photos are close up making it difficult to see what the subject is. I also like all the bright colors you used and how you edited them. Photo of the year for me photo 4 under fluid/fractured because it features all of my favorite colors, and glitter!

  4. Hi Courtney,

You win edgiest photos of the semester! Everything's very colorful and vibrant and I think that says a lot about you as a person. #6 under Hard/Soft/Hot/Cold is photo of the year for me because of how simple it is. You pushed the phone to the edge of the frame, but it just works because of how it contrasts with the white wall. Great job this semester!

  5. Hey Courtney! Good job this semester! I liked looking through your final portfolio and seeing how you added to your past photos. I like the variety of subjects and lighting; it made it very interesting to look through your blog. I wish you numbered your photos though because it would make it easier to reference pictures. My favorite picture of the year goes to Picture #1 from the Chapter “Night/Light”. I find it calming and serene. It’s simple but it makes me want to keep looking for something I might have missed. For example, I didn’t see the city in the background that first time I looked at it. I also like how the poll and the wires create a natural frame. Great job!

  6. Hi Courtney! For your construction, all of your pictures are centered and evenly spaced and grouped into chapters. For your communication, I really like the way you grouped your pictures! Some of them are grouped by colors and others by the different materials that are in them. I especially liked the transition in the “Concrete/Clay” chapter. I like the way the colors carry over from picture to picture. For the conception, it seems like you have a variety of influences from everyday objects to things you encounter when you’re exploring. My vote for picture of the year is picture #3 in your “Fluid/Fractured” chapter. It’s the most mysterious of the bunch and the colors are beautiful. Great job this semester!

  7. Hi Courtney! If I had to describe your set of photos, it would be somebody who just murdered another human then went on an acid trip. The change in subject and vibe in this set is crazy. The photos with colors are great. The composition in all of your photos is very cinematic. Picture of the Year goes to the bloody maxi pad. You've got balls.

  8. Hi Courtney, I really like your final portfolio. You start out conservatively with Night/Light, then you break out with exceptionally crazy photos, from the maxi pad to the body reflection, your originality shines through. My favorite is #2 in the Fluid Fractured section. Good work this semester.

  9. Hi Courtney! You showed me beautiful ones to shocking ones! The pad photograph frightened me the most since I started seeing every photograph from every classmate on this blog this semester! I enjoyed all works from Fluid/Fractured. The objects and your edit are just amazing. My favorite is the 2nd photogarph from night/light. It shows your colorful beauty.
